Danske Bank’s February European Freight Forwarding Index suggests that forwarding is in recovery, although that recovery is likely to be slow and gradual.  Forwarders questioned expected volumes to increase over the next two months, although prospects after the month of June remain very uncertain.  Volumes of freight through Shanghai increased 18% this January, compared with last year.  There has also been a strong upward trend in air freight volumes.
