A quarry company and a cement company are putting forward proposals for a 26 acre rail freight interchange in West Kent.  The interchange will be called Borough Green International Gateway, and will occupy the site of a former quarry near the M26.  A Conservation charity has set up campaign to fight the proposal,saying that the intrusion of railways, shunting yards and freight trains will threaten the ecology of the site and endanger wildlife.
