Two people were killed by a freight train at a level crossing outside Lincoln city centre on Wednesday 9 July. The freight train was taking cargo to Immingham Dock, near Grimsby, at the time. Immingham is a busy port for exports from and imports to the UK.
A spokesman for British Transport Police did not give any details of the two people killed,
he said that “Officers are now working to establish the full circumstances of the incident, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
“The Rail Accident Investigation Branch has been informed.”
