A project expected to increase northern Australian mango exports to China by 200 per cent within five years has been announced.

The project will use the latest in supply chain management, quality assessment tools and information technology platforms to find and resolve issues which limit the export of mangoes into China.

Drawing on earlier research and investment, the project will facilitate and monitor the adoption of improved supply chain systems, including innovative tracking, monitoring, communications and information technologies to find and resolve issues across the entire supply chain, which may currently be limiting the volume of mangoes able to be exported to China.
