This scheme is being funded by the Department for Transport, with the aim of promoting operational efficiency, safety, journey time reliability and emission reductions within all types of freight operations – road, rail and waterways. It is designed to be a resource for the freight industry and can offer free information about fuel saving, skills development, systems and equipment, performance management and multimodal operations. While the programme champions road freight efficienty, it will be developing further resources to help freight professionals looking for multi-modal transport solutions.
