A potential recession is not bad news for everyone.  Freight forwarding and shipping companies with low debt and good cashflow can continue to operate and offer a good service to shippers and importers.  It’s true that there may be some casualties amongst companies which cannot finance their debt, but this can mean that the more stable service providers can acquire competitors at a low price, and increase their client base.  It’s important to continue with the sales and marketing effort to make the most of oportunities for providing services for those businesses which continue to export and import.
