The Far Eastern Freight Conference (FEFC) announced that after monitoring the situation in United Kingdom ports it has noticed an improvement in the port congestion situation and has suspended the UK Port Congestion surcharge of USD145 per teu that it imposed on westbound cargo from Asia to the UK. This was cautiously welcomed by BIFA the British International Freight Association.
