A Saigon shipping company is to begin a shipping service between Pnhom Penh in Cambodia and two Vietnam ports – Cat Lai and Cai Mep. The service is being instigated in response to demand for freight services to and from Cambodia. The service will run twice per week, with transfer times of about two hours. The port of Cai Mep is the gateway to Europe and the USA, as there is a regular container service to and from the port.
