Exporters in west India have accused a major shipping line of pressurising them to use their port and shipping services.  The carrier and port operator has been advised that their position is legally sound, as their terminal has only 7% of the north-western airport in India.  This cannot be construed as being ‘anti-competitive’, but the Port Operator argues that their facilities at Pipavav are closed to Mumbai than some other ports, so shipping lines prefer to use their facilities.
