An industry-wide initiative from IATA, which is designed to streamline the movement of air freight by using electronic data transfer instead of airwaybills.  Everyone in the supply chain, from trucking companies and freight forwarders to air carriers and Customs officials can be involved.  It appears that the system will become an industry standard.
