The port of Harwich has completed improvements which will enable it to receive a new breed of ‘superferries’ from Sweden.  A new Linkspan bridge, made in Sweden, features a double deck arrangement which will enable passenger cars and freight lorries to load and unload simultaneously.  The Chief Executive Officer of the Port Operator said "this linkspan will ensure that the port can handle increased freight and motorist volumes efficiently as demand grows in the future."
