The Norwegian Navy ship KNM Fritjof Nansen left the port of Bergen last month to join the anti-piracy forces off the coast of Somalia.  As well as threatening humanitarian aid to the country, piracy is a hazard to the international shipping industry. On 26 August, the Fritjof Nansen saved an Italian ship from being hijacked.
