The Department for Transport has set out the Government’s vision for the future of rail freight in its publication ‘Strategic Freight Network;Long Term Vision’. This has now been endorsed by the Freight Transport Association’s Rail Freight Council. The Council enthusiastically supported the plan, saying that it showed the right way to develop the UK’s rail freight capability over the coming years.
