According to the CEO of the International Air Transport Association, air cargo throughout Europe has declined dramatically since last year and ‘freight remains at shockingly low levels.’ In April there was a double-digit decline of 23.3% compared with the same period last year and at present there are no signs of recovery.  All the major airlines in Europe are experiencing declining cargo and are reducing capacity accordingly.
