A new ferry service is proposed between Ferrol in Spain and Milford Haven in Wales.  The aim is to reduce the road miles for freight hauliers in North West Spain and in Northern Portugal, and to link up with Ireland using an existing twice daily service to Rosslare.  Shipping lines are hoping to obtain funding from the European Marco Polo project, and the Port of Ferrol is currently collecting data to give to interested ferry operators.  They are trying to identify logistics providers, shippers, freight forwarders and road haulage companies who would be interested in using the service and pass this information to potential shipping lines.
