A major shipping line offering sailings between the UK and Finland has issued a profit warning before its first quarter results.  Last year the company made a profit of Eu14M, but this year is expecting a loss of Eu30M in the first quarter.  The volume of freight carried by the shipping line began to fall drastically in the last quarter of 2008, and the fall has continued into this year, reflecting the global downturn in international transport.
