After heavy snowfalls in the West of England, the Midlands and counties north of London overnight, main roads have been affected by jack-knifed lorries and truck drivers going too fast for the icy conditions. Some areas have been so badly affected that shippers have had to cancel their freight bookings as they have been unable to deliver their cargo to the freight forwarder’s warehouse.
