From 1 January, the so-called ‘tremcards’ are no longer required to accompany dangerous road freight on international journeys.  Instead, the carrier (the organisation responsible for the driver of the vehicle) will have to provide instructions for the driver in a language which he understands.  These ‘Instructions in Writing’ do have to follow a specified format, but can be printed on plain paper.
