Transport for London has produced ‘The London Freight Plan’ which it will phase in over the medium term to address the environmental impact of freight movements within the Greater London area. The London Freight Plan is intended to improve operational efficiency, encourage waterborne movements on the River Thames, ensure more deliveries are out of normal working hours and generally improve standards within the road Freight Industry operating in London by encouraging and rewarding best practice.
