The Chinese port of Ningbo handled over 8 million TEU by the end of November 2007, this is up 30 per cent compared to same period last year. Ningbo and Zhoushan together were the busiest Chinese ports handling 41 million tons of cargoes in October closely followed by Shanghai with 40 million tons. The total for all major Chinese ports was 440 million tons. Each month 190 container lines serve the Ningbo with over 800 liner services.
