No export cargo is currently reaching Libya, as shipping lines avoid Libyan ports to maintain the safety of their crews.  Dock workers have either run away from the ports, or joined in the nationwide protests.  Cargo operations have stopped at Tripoli, Benghazi and Misurata so logistics companies are accepting cargo but unloading the shipping containers in Italy, where they await an improvement in the situation in Libya.  The UK has imposed an export control order to ban any Libyan currency leaving the country after an attempt to ship £100 million to Tripoli last week.
