The Fair Fuel campaign is gathering pace, as industrial and private fuel users count the cost of the planned duty increase on 1 April. The campaign, whose petition has been signed so far by more than 8000 people, is backed by the Freight Transport Association, the Road Haulage Association and the British International Freight Association. The increase in VAT has already cused pump prices to rise, and industry users in particular are calling for the implementation of a fuel price stabiliser, which was promised by the Conservative Party when they were in opposition.
