The government of New Zealand is progressing a long-term prosecution against various freight forwarders in the air industry, who have been accused of colluding to fix prices. The latest ‘international freight forwarder’ to receive a fine – which was for 2.5 million New Zealand dollars – is Geologistics. Since the criminal case was first discussed in 2007, the company has shed its identity and can now only be found through a link on another freight forwarder’s site. Other major forwarding groups await their fate.
