The United States Environmental Protection Agency approved the development of freight trains in July of this year, saying that the form of transportation may play an important role in addressing climate change.
For example, a USA freight transport operator has reportedly taken nearly 50,000 containers off the road to substantially reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
The terminal operator reported that their port handled 206 trains in July – the highest number this year so far,significantly ahead of its previous loading record of 157 double stack trains in a month in 2020.
