A new cargo consolidation hub for China-Europe freight trains has been put into operation in Shenyang, the capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province.
A train carrying 55 containers left for Russia on Saturday morning; the hub covers a total land area of 92,000 square metres. The hub is large enough for the storage of 3,000 twenty-foot equivalent units at the same time, and can handle 1,000 China-Europe freight trains every year.
