Sugar exports from Uttar Pradesh may decline because of high production costs.
Industry sources said that the timely announcement of sugar export policy last yea resulted in the export of 10 million tonnes of sugar from India.
This year the industry remains apprehensive as the Government is yet to announce its export policy.
