Companies in Shenzhen, in southern China, are preparing for a seven-day lockdown, which is the longest since the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic.
They are hurrying to complete their exports, asking for loan extensions and asking employees to work from home.
Shenzhen is the main tech and manufacturing hub in China; all are ordered residents to stay indoors until March 20.
