Exports of goods from Spain made a historic rise of 71.8 % in April to 25.841 billion euros. Imports rose by 63.9 % to 27.138 billion, compared with April 2020.

In the January-April period, Spanish exports showed a rise of 16.9%, (a growth exceeding that of Germany with 11%, and France with 9.6%). Imports increased by 10.3%, with 102.709 billion.

Analysing export sectors, capital goods went back to first position with one fifth of total exports. Food and beverages remain in second place, followed by chemical products and automobiles, with an unexpected advance in the month of April of 505%.
