At the end of 2020, exports from Peru amounted to US$39.310 billion. Export shipments from the mining-energy and non-traditional sectors totalled US$25 billion and US$15.177 billion.
By the end of last year, 7,519 companies exported 4,536 products to 174 markets, diversifying the country’s supply. The main countries to import from Peru were the United States, the European Union, China, Canada, South Korea, Switzerland, India, and Chile.
The minister said that 37 products were included in the ranking of top 10 exports last year, from 29 products in 2019. Peru has cemented its position as the world leader in exports of fresh blueberries, overcoming Chile for the first time.
