Dover is the busiest ferry port in the UK, and the Harbour Board has now published plans for a project which is designed to reduce the number of traffic queues on the adjoining roads.  A new assembly area will temporarily hold some of the waiting freight and tourist traffic until more space becomes available in the port.  The assembly area will be able to hold 220 additional freight lorries, so making sure that the internal roadways are kept moving.
