Lion freight
A freight truck has been discovered carrying a lion cub in Rome, the capital of Italy. Found in the charge of three Bulgarian nationals, the lorry was travelling from Bulgaria to Italy with its live cargo. The cub was found during a check by Italian traffic police. The animal was in bad health, locked in a cage designed for the transport of cats. The lion cub is recovering in a shelter for abused animals.
