German Air Freight Improvement

Official statistics show a marked increase in air passenger and freight volumes in the first three months of this year. Air Freight showed record growth, rising 30 percent over the same period last year. However, the Federal Statistics Office said that the trend is unlikely to continue as flights were grounded in April due to the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud.
