I now understand from your import department that it is because you contact my clients to advise them of the impending delivery and to find out their opening times and to ensure that they have equipment onsite to offload. This is superb, it saves me a great deal of work and just as important is the fact that my clients receive their cargo when they are able to take delivery and hire in equipment to offload if necessary. Satistics from the Danske Bank's European Freight Forwarding Index suggest that volumes will decline again at the beginning of 2010; the 160 freight forwarders who contribute to the index are overall more negative about the future than they were, but general expectations are for a fairly brief decline with the overall trend improving.
