"Just a quick line to say thank you very much for your help in getting our import LCL goods from the USA. They arrived today safely and we are delighted with the way you have looked after our cargo for us. We will certainly use you again on our next delivery. Your lorry driver was great, I took him up the lane to the farm to show him the route, and once he saw the turning circle he was fine. Anyway thanks again, speak to you soon. The Logistics Institute of the University of Hull hosted the second conference of the Stratmos project yesterday. Stratmos is a project studying the feasibility of using Motorways of the Sea to reduce the carbon footprint of international shipping and transport within the Baltic region. Funded by the EU and the government of Norway, this project aims to improve the efficiency of modal shift to short sea shipping, and improve links with road and rail freight. The result of this should be to connect the coastal areas more efficiently to each other. The area runs from Flanders to North Norway, and there are also partners in Russia.
