ISO 9001 Quality Accreditation

R W Freight Services is committed to quality: the company first received accreditation for its BS5750 Quality Management system in 1990, and was one of the first 20 freight forwarders worldwide to achieve this. In the year 2000, the Standard was re-named ISO 9001, and R W Freight and its customers continue to benefit from this tried and tested management tool.

The Standard demands that the company institutes procedures for all its procedures which are documented and followed by all members of staff. The system specifies corrective and preventive actions to ensure consistency of operation, and regular inspection by independent assessors ensures that the Quality System continues to serve the business well.

R W Freight Services instigated the inclusion of the Quality Management system into its freight software package; this ensures that there is plenty of data for internal audits, actions are always traceable, and it is almost impossible for staff not to follow the correct procedure. This means that we can concentrate on offering the customer personal service, rather than on laboriously maintaining manual records.
